UNI
CHAM
DRILL
ISCAR has introduced a new family designated UNICHAMDRILL. This new family follows the familiar CHAMDRILL but is produced without a flange (round cylindrical body).
The diameter range of the UNICHAMDRILL family ranges from
7.5 to 20 mm. UNICHAMDRILL have up to 3.5 drilling depth-to-diameter ratio.
The new UNICHAMDRILL uses standard CHAMDRILL drilling heads.
The flute angle of the UNICHAMDRILL differs from that of the standard CHAMDRILL in order to compensate for the lack of the conventional flange face contact support. The UNICHAMDRILLs with diameters under 10 mm have a straight flute design, like the standard CHAMDRILL.
User Guide
• The recommended cutting data for the UNICHAMDRILL is the same as
the standard CHAMDRILL line.
• The performance characteristics of the UNICHAMDRILLs are the same
as the standard CHAMDRILL line regarding hole accuracy,
straightness, surface finish and material application range.
• While the drill is clamped in the machine, the “No setup time for
indexing” is still valid, even though there is no flange on this type
of drill.
• UNICHAMDRILL can be used with many adaptation options:
- Collet chucks
- Hydraulic chucks
- Side screw-clamped adapters
- Special rings with side screw adapters, etc.
• ISCAR IC908 TiAlN PVD coated drilling heads provide excellent tool
life on a wide range of materials.
• Each UNICHAMDRILL can carry a 1 mm diameter range of the CHAMDRILL drilling heads.
This is a huge economical advantage over other systems where each chamfering drill body can carry only a single size drill.
• An axial adjustment of the UNICHAMDRILL is possible.
