    Highlights
    ISCAR is expanding the NOTCH-GRIP line for precision grooving and threading applications by adding new inserts with a chipformer. The new families are fully compatible with standard market pocket sizes.



    Following the successful introduction of the Notch Grip line and market demand, ISCAR is adding new inserts with a chipformer.



    Important features
    • Excellent chip control on alloy & stainless steel
    • Different edge configurations for radial & face grooving, profiling and threading


    With the addition of the new inserts, a complete Notch-Grip line is now available.

    Grooving Insert Features:
    • Inserts with chipformers
    • 1.00 – 6.35 mm (.039”-.250”) grooving width range
    • Double-ended shallow grooving inserts
    • Single-ended deep grooving inserts
    • Inserts with a flat-top and neutral rake angle or positive rake angle
    • Inserts with a full radius for grooving and profiling
    • Inserts for external undercutting


    The inserts are available in 2, 3 and 4 pocket sizes, in ISCAR’s versatile SUMO TEC PVD coated grades IC807 / IC808. Suitable for grooving and turning a wide range of materials at medium-tohigh cutting speeds.

    Threading Insert Features
    • Double-ended precision threading inserts for a large variety of the most popular industrial threading profiles
    • Inserts for internal and external threading profiles
    • Inserts with full and partial profiles
    • Inserts with a flat-top neutral and positive rake or with a chipformer
    • Multi-tooth
    • Regular and fine pitches


    The threading inserts are available in ISCAR’s versatile PVD grade IC908. Suitable for threading a wide range of materials at low-to-medium cutting speeds.

    Tools
    All inserts can be mounted on existing standard market pocket tools. In addition, ISCAR offers the following tools:
    • External tools for double-ended deep grooving inserts
    • External tools for shallow grooving and threading applications
    • External tools for grooving and threading applications, for Swiss-Type machines
    • External tools for undercutting applications
    • Internal tools with coolant through, for grooving and threading applications
    • Interchangeable heads for grooving and threading applications
    • Steel shanks with coolant through for interchangeable heads


    The new NOTCH-GRIP tools and inserts will enable us to introduce our advantageous products to end-users who currently use these standard tools.
