The new ER sealed collets offer the following advantages

Because of single diameter design, imperial sealed collets should be used for tools with inch shank dimensions.
Sets of metric sealed collets were changed according to this publication.

Due to low demand, sets of metric sealed collets with even dimensions are phased out.
