Twisted Shape Insert
for High Feed Milling
Guarantees Higher Productivity
Highlights
Following its successful introduction in 2018 and growing
market demands, ISCAR is expanding the LOGIQ4FEED milling
family of fast feed milling tools by adding the following new
standard products:
Milling Cutters
FFX4 ED-MM – Milling head with MULTI-MASTER adaptation in 20, 25 mm diameter
FFX4 ED-M – Milling head with FLEXFIT adaptation in 42 mm diameter
FFX4 FD – Shell face mills in 42, 50 and 52 mm diameters
Tool Features
- Wide range of applications
- Fine tooth pitch design for higher productivity
- Internal coolant holes directed to each cutting edge
-
Advanced protective plating of the cutter body facilitates chip flow and protects against
corrosion and wear
- Excellent solution for rough milling at high feeds for all types of machine tools, including
these with limited power
Indexable Inserts
FFX4 XNMU 040310RM-HP -Fast feed milling insert intended for interrupted cut and machining
near straight wall shoulders of austenitic stainless steel, titanium and high temperature alloys (ISO
M and ISO S application groups).
The new insert is available in carbide grades IC808, IC882.
FFX4 XNMU 040310RM-T-Fast feed milling insert intended for interrupted cut and for
machining near straight wall shoulders of steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, cast iron and
hardened steel (ISO P, ISO K and ISO H application groups).
The new insert is available in carbide grade IC808.
Insert Features
The inserts feature 4 indexable reinforced cutting edges and are produced from ISCAR’s innovative
SUMOTEC carbide grades to ensure high productivity.
The combination of an advanced design with the high-technology carbide grades results in a
significantly improved resistance to edge breakage and chipping, which facilitates better tool life
and represents a source of increased productivity in fast feed milling.
FFX4 ED-MM
Endmills with MULTI-MASTER Adaptation Carrying Small "Bone Shape" Inserts
with 4 Cutting Edges for Fast Feed Milling
• Radius for programming 1.8 mm • To generate a straight surface without cusps, the width of cut must not exceed DC
(1) Cutting diameter maximum (2) Number of inserts
(3) Maximum plunging width (4) Maximum ramping angle (5) Machinable diameter minimum for interpolation
(6) Machinable diameter maximum for interpolation (7) Key flat size (8) Master insert identification
(9) Recommended tightening torque (N*m) for insert screw
• Optional, should be ordered separately
FFX4 ED-M
Endmills with FLEXFIT Adaptation Carrying Small "Bone Shape" Inserts
with 4 Cutting Edges for Fast Feed Milling
• Radius for programming 1.8 mm • To generate a straight surface without cusps, the width of cut must not exceed DC • When mounting items with FLEXFIT threaded
adaptation to their holders, the mating surfaces and threaded areas must be thoroughly cleaned.
(1) Cutting diameter maximum (2) Number of inserts
(3) Maximum plunging width (4) Maximum ramping angle (5) Machinable diameter minimum for interpolation
(6) Machinable diameter maximum for interpolation (7) Key flat size (8) Master insert identification
(9) Recommended tightening torque (N*m) for insert screw
• Optional, should be ordered separately
