ISCAR’s EXPANDED GROOVE-TURN TOOLING FAMILY HELPS SWISS AUTOMATIC SHOPS DO MORE WITH LESS

ISCAR has made its popular line of groove-turn tools even more versatile, so Swiss automatic shops can handle a wider range of jobs with fewer tools.
New GEHSR/L 20 and 25 mm shanks enable GEMI/GEPI inserts to handle ID as well as OD grooving, turning, profiling and threading. A tilted 15° clamp screw provides easy access for the torx key, even in tight-clearance conditions.
Another line that ISCAR has expanded is the Swiss-cut parting inserts. The new tools come in a greater choice of lead angle and can produce burr-free surfaces on both left- and right-hand cuts.
For heavy-duty grooving and turning, the ISCAR GDMY 1050 utility insert measures 1 mm wide and has a Y-type chipformer for high feed grooving and turning. It fits in existing GHDR/L toolholders and CGHN blades.
