Expansion of the HELIDO 690-10 Family with New Inserts

Highlights

ISCAR is expanding the HELIDO 690 Line by adding:
  • Peripherally ground inserts
  • 0.8 mm corner radius inserts


Following excellent market response to the HELIDO H690 10 mm insert size, ISCAR is expanding the HELIDO 690-10 family to meet the growing requirements of efficient milling in various industrial sectors by adding the following new products:

H690 TNCX 100504 PDR
The new H690 TNCX 100504 PDR insert is peripherally ground for increased machining accuracy and improved surface quality. Due to its advanced cutting geometry, the insert reduces cutting forces and consumes less power. The new insert can be applied successfully to milling high-temperature alloys which are widely used in the aerospace industry.

The new insert features a maximum 8 mm depth of cut, providing the following advantages:
  • Double-sided triangular geometry with 6 cutting edges
  • Sharp ground helical cutting edge with a special edge preparation
  • Positive rake angle ensuring reduced cutting forces for soft and clean cutting action and long and consistent tool life
  • Wide sharp-edged wiper for high surface finish
  • 0.4 mm corner radius

H690 TNKX 100508PNTR
The new 0.8 mm corner radius option is being added to the already available H690 TNKX 100504PNTR inserts with 0.4 mm radius.
H690 10 inserts are produced from ISCAR’s latest SUMO TEC carbide grades, which significantly increase productivity when machining most industrial materials such as alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron and HTSA.

Cutting Data
The attached tables provide cutting data recommendations for the new inserts.
For machining in unstable conditions, the values recommended in the tables should be reduced by 20-30%.


These newly introduced inserts featuring new cutting geometries offer distinct technical advantages with a very attractive price per cutting edge.
The new items will provide the customer with a productive solution in the broad spectrum of milling applications.
