ISCAR’s Innovative New Double Sided Positive Inserts
Highlights
ISCAR introduces new double-sided inserts with 4 unique cutting
edges as an advantageous alternative to the conventional ISO
standard positive inserts with 2 cutting edges.
The new double-sided VNGU, CNGX, CNGG and CXMG inserts operate similarly to positive inserts
with the same corner angles, providing an added advantage of double cutting edges.
ALUPTURN
Designed mainly for machining aluminum wheels, VNGU 2206..-R3N are 35° double-sided
rhombic inserts with a very positive rake angle and sharp cutting edge.

CNGG and CNGX
Double-sided inserts represent an economical solution for aluminum.
The new CNGG and CNGX inserts feature 4 cutting edges; they can replace the standard
CCGT that feature only 2 cutting edges.
Both inserts feature positive rake angles that provide soft cut and low cutting forces to
eliminate built-up-edge.

Insert Features
The new double-sided CXMG inserts operate similarly to CCMT positive inserts and can therefore
replace standard CCMT inserts. In some applications, they can also replace standard negative
CNMG inserts.
